Challenge: read 20 books in 2015

While I absolutely love to read, 2014 was probably the worst year for me actually finishing any books or reading many in the first place. With that in mind, I’ve decided to to take on the Goodreads 2015 Reading Challenge. So far I have finished reading zero books, but I believe a goal of twenty (which I chose for myself) will help me improve my attack on the huge, bookish pile of shame that I have in the house and on my Kindle. Back on my old blog, I use to have a list of things that I had, but had yet to watch, play or read. On the book side of things this has only gotten worse over the past year. But I am going to change this.

While I am bad for having more than one book on the go at a time, I can’t just read any genre when I feel like it, this means that I’ve a variety of books at my disposal at any one time. The two things I’m mainly reading at the moment are The Tao of Twitter and Player’s Handbook: Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition.

Sure, I’m planning on being more creative this year as well, especially in terms of writing, but it’s never a good thing to try and write creatively without having a constant feed of material by different people and in different genres – you might just miss out on a moment of inspiration on how to or how not to do something.

If you’re on Goodreads and would like to delve into what I’m reading, you can send me a friend request – my profile is here.
