90 second film challenege competition header v1

While I was at last week’s Roughcut film night in Falmouth, a new film competition was launched.

Prepare to do battle! It’s time for: THE ROUGHCUT 90 SECOND FILM CHALLENGE!

Costing £5 per entry, and closing Monday 23 March, there are several cash prizes available along side the chance to have your film screened at Truro’s Plaza Cinema. The film needs to be centred around the theme of ‘Journeys’ and last no longer than 90 seconds, including titles and credits.

Interested in entering? Then just scroll down to the entry form on the Roughcut part of Dogbite’s website.

The competition is being sponsored by WTW Cinemas, Falmouth University, Truro Festival and AW Event Consultant.

Me? Yes, I’m hoping to give it a go with a couple of friends. Though I don’t plan on being in front of the camera, but we’re looking at making a live action film (though animation is equally acceptable).

Anyway: people of Cornwall – it’s time to get your filmmaking on! (Note: this competition isn’t exclusive to residents of the county, full terms at the link.)

Still not convinced? The watch this:
